The man didn’t want to back down and walk away after the poor excuse these bullies just came up with. He pestered them on and asked what their problem was, and more importantly, why they were adamant at picking on someone who didn’t have anything to do with them.
Again, the boys stood their ground and insisted they were ‘just playing,’ albeit in a slightly hushed tone this time. They couldn’t even look up out of embarrassment since this was the first time somebody questioned their actions – and in public at that! Why was this man on their case all of a sudden?
