Feeling a combination of exhaustion and elation following his successful surveillance setup mission at the cemetery, Peter quickly returned home. As quietly as possible, he changed into his pajamas and slipped back into bed, where Mary still lay fast asleep.
However, sleep was the farthest thing from Mary’s mind, who’d been awake this entire time. She had suspected Peter’s plans for days now.
