Inconveniently, Ben’s location made him hard to reach. The veterinarian was stuck in traffic during rush hour for a much longer period than she had anticipated. The doctor knew she needed to reach Felicia quickly if she wanted an animal to have a good chance of successfully delivering her cub.
As the doctor’s temper continued to rise, Ben suggested that one of his friends begin picking him up on a motorcycle. This would allow her to arrive as soon as humanly possible. While waiting for Ben’s close friend to pick her up, she returned to working at the clinic in the meanwhile.
