The Baltimore Colts were a promising team in the 1970s until Robert Irsay purchased the league. While the players were reportedly eager to mingle with their fans, they had a difficult boss, who was known for his short temper.
Because of this attitude, the Maryland government ordered the city of Baltimore to seize the team from the terrible coach. So one midnight, Irsay had trucks move his players to Indianapolis, much to everyone’s surprise the following morning. Even the band performed in the city as an act of defiance.
