Darren Sharper’s Fall From Grace
Former NFL safety Darren Sharper’s football career was cut short in 2016 after he was sentenced to 20 years in prison. Unlike others whose careers were cut short because of their scandals, this athlete put himself in hot waters after his retirement in 2011.
He admitted to harassing women multiple times across different states like Arizona, Louisiana, and Nevada. In June 2022, Sharper settled lawsuits involving three girls but the terms of the settlements weren’t disclosed. These cases were filed in 2015.
