MrBeast’s big moment finally came as a long, exhausting video. In it, he completed a challenge where he counted from one to 100,000. At that point, he already had an idea of what the YouTube algorithm liked, and in his words, he “knew it would go viral.”
The stunt took him over 40 hours, although some segments were sped up to keep the video under 24 hours. It gained massive popularity in January 2017, becoming his first viral video on YouTube.
