MrBeast’s real-life version of the game featured 456 people competing for a $456K cash prize. The tournament borrowed key elements of the series while discarding the violence. Despite generating much controversy, it became one of the most-watched YouTube videos of 2021. As of 2022, it had more than 325 million views.
