This is Sarah Attar, a Saudi Arabian-American track and field athlete who made history at the 2012 Olympic Games in London as one of the first two female athletes ever to compete for Saudi Arabia.
She competed in the 800-meter race, finishing last in her heat with a time of 2:44:95. While Attar’s performance may not have been a standout in terms of results, her participation in the games was a groundbreaking moment for women’s sports in Saudi Arabia.
