‘70s Wrought Iron VW Beetle

Now, this is the grooviest thing on this list, and it’s a VW Beetle decked out in wrought iron from the ‘70s. The VW wrought iron bug was initially designed to function as a sign for a vehicle dealership.

Blacksmith Raphael Esparaza made the wrought iron frame in a Beetle form, and he filled it with the eye-catching swirls. VW soon got in touch with him and commissioned one for the ‘68 Olympic Games. It wasn’t long before just about everyone wanted a wrought-iron covered VW.
