ZZ Top In 1970

In 1969, Billy Gibbons created the band ZZ Top, and by 1970 they settled on their final lineup with bassist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank Beard joining the group. The band didn’t waste any time taking up gigs everywhere, and they were soon signed up with London Records.

The photo above captures the band at the time when they had grouped and on their way to a meteoritic rise. They went on to release their first album aptly titled ZZ Top’s First Album in 1971.
