Late ‘60s Sally Field

In the ‘60s, Sally Field had just started her career appearing in short-lived comedies like The Flying Nun and Gidget. Regardless of the role, Field always delivered a fun and effortless performance. She started feeling like she was being typecast too much, and she started going after more challenging parts going into the ‘70s.

She gained acclaim for delivering an exemplary performance in the ‘76 mini-series, Sybill. The photo above was taken sometime in the late ‘60, and looking back now, it represents when she shifted to more challenging roles.
