Sam Alexis Wood, daughter to Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, was born in 2007, a few hours after Fathers’ Day. Her parents wanted a name that was special to both of them, and according to the golfer, his dad always referred to him as Sam, which wasn’t legally recognized. When he asked why, his father told him he looked like a Sam, and that’s how he and his former wife settled on their daughter’s name.
Sam, just like her dad, is a sports enthusiast who plays football and even participates in professional matches. If her dad’s success is anything to go by, she has a great future in sports ahead of her.
