Jacqueline White only had a ten-year-long acting career, but she worked for the great “Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer” and “RKO Pictures” during that time. Can you fathom the lasting influence she made throughout that decade, which is still remembered nearly 70 years later?
White is one of the few (and fortunate) people who didn’t have to chase after work and instead had projects lining up to her. Some of her best-known works include “Crossfire” and “The Narrow Margin.” Her justification for leaving was her marriage, which sounded reasonable at the time. Fortunately, she did not sacrifice her profession for a squandered marriage because it lasted until her husband died in 2000.
