When Jerry Mathers’ parents signed him up to appear in a commercial when he was two years old, they probably didn’t expect him to become a star in the entertainment industry. His acting career began at the age of six. He didn’t get much attention until 1957 when he played Theodore “Beaver” Cleaver in the film “Leave It to Beaver.”
It was his most well-known role, which he later revived in 1983 for “The New Leave It to Beaver.” Mathers’ final film and television performances were on “Will To Power” and “Mother Goose Parade in 2008.” Mathers now maintains a blog, and you can read it online.
