Football is a big part of being American, so it shouldn’t be surprising that a US President also played the sport in his youth. Remember the 40th POTUS, Ronald Reagan? He played football at Eureka College and worked briefly as a sports broadcaster after school.
Reagan may not have been the squad’s best—he admitted that himself—but he was very athletic and even captained his college’s swim team. He, however, chose to pursue careers in radio and film after school.
