Before TV, Mark Harmon was a college football player who led UCLA to a stunning upset victory over No. 1 ranked Nebraska in 1972. Harmon was the starting quarterback for the Bruins for two seasons and even received offers to play in the NFL, but he chose to pursue a career in acting instead.
Despite being a successful actor playing the lead role in “NCIS,” the 2010 Pierce College Athletic Hall of Fame inductee never forgot his athletic roots.
