David Testo
The United States national soccer team never capped David Testo and never played a game outside of North America. However, he’s known internationally for being one of the very first American male soccer stars to come out as gay.
A reliable midfielder in his day, Testo now keeps busy by collaborating with You Can Play, an anti-homophobia campaign. Between 2003 and 2011, he made more than 170 appearances for MLS clubs such as Montreal Impact, Vancouver Whitecaps, and Colombus Crew.
