Katja Ebstein, 1945, singer
After the war she fled to Berlin with her family. She lived there in Epensteinstraße and yes, that’s exactly where she got the idea for her stage name Ebstein. The singer became known for her performances at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1970, 1971 and 1980 and thus became internationally known. Since then, Katja Ebstein has been very busy and has already released over 30 albums. In 2011 she was able to celebrate a brief and unexpected comeback with a new edition of Miracles there always again , together with the rapper JokA. She said in 2019 she wants to perform as long as she can and people want to see her.
