Four Sisters Over 40 Years: A Lifetime Worth Of Photos Engraved In History Forever
It’s All In The Lighting – 1996
In 1984, the Brown sisters had taken a photo with the photographer Nixon’s shadow, as if making it known that he’s part of the project. That magic has been recreated 12 years later in this image. Nobody can tell if this shady appearance is a mere coincidence or intentional.
Equally mysterious is the significance of his shadow almost covering his wife Bebe’s face and Laurie’s upset face. Could it be related to the release of Tickle Me Elmo? The elderly generation remembers the day very well and would prefer not to be reminded of it. Still, the toy remains popular to this date, just like this series of photographs.
