Having a sober friend who can look after the group while partying is a sensible idea. At least, they can stop drunk people from embarrassing themselves in front of everyone. These people had a friend designated as the watchman who certainly kept a sharp eye on everyone.
It seems like the young couple tried to have their first kiss on camera, but their intoxicated state sent the plan sideways. Their friend in the back made the photo worth it, though.
