This show gives us a Colombian spin of the Pablo Escobar saga. It is more authentic and detailed when compared to Narcos. The realism that comes from the jarring period footage also makes it more compelling.
Andrés Parra has been widely praised for his portrayal of Escobar. He took time to study Escobar’s body language, expressions, and voice, and Parra was able to impersonate him convincingly. Moura deserves some credit too for learning Spanish in only a couple of months leading up to filming his role in Narcos.
