The love story of Julie Andrews and Blake Edwards is one of Hollywood’s most moving and iconic ones. Blake established himself as a film director, credited for hits like Breakfast at Tiffany’s and Days of Wine and Roses. At the same time, Andrews is an accomplished actress and singer with accolades including three Grammys, two Emmys, and an Academy Award under her belt.
The couple fell in love in 1968 when Edwards directed Julie’s film Darling Lilli. They would then become inseparable and tie the knot in 1969. The Hollywood A-listers worked on many films together and stayed by each other’s side until Blake’s eventual demise in 2010.
