If you happen to manage a hotel, there’s a good chance you’re going to be friends with the local police. As you can imagine, police officers like to know all there is to know about new guests in town, and hotels function as nice hubs of information for the law enforcement agents.
This works both ways: if you’re planning on acting friendly, you’ll probably feel safer during your next hotel stay. But if you’re looking to misbehave, just keep in mind that the police will be a phone call away from stepping in and putting you in the right place.
