Hotel Maids Are Sharing All Kinds of Hotel Secrets
They Obey a 3-Knocks Rule
As if cleaning tens of hotel rooms per day wasn’t hard enough, some guests love to sleep late or simply ignore housekeeping who are trying to clean their rooms. For this reason, hotel employees obey a three-knocks rule. They knock three times, announcing “housekeeping,” pausing for ten seconds between each knock.
If a guest doesn’t answer, they may open the door slightly to make sure no one is there before cleaning. If you want your room smelling fresh, as well as a new set of towels, just make sure you make it out of bed before noon, or you’ll not be so lucky.
