How The Best Bond Girls Of All Times Look Like Now Will Surprise You
Kissy Suzuki – You Only Live Twice (1967)
Another Bond girl with a rather interesting name, Kissy Suzuki, was played by Japanese actress Mie Hama. Although she was sent to London to learn English, the filmmaker felt her grasp of English wasn’t good enough, so instead of her speaking part overdubbed by voice actress Nikki van der Zyl.
The funny thing is that by the time Hama was cast in You Only Live Twice she had already starred in over 60 films and TV shows, including King Kong Vs Godzilla, the Lost World Of Sinbad, and King Kong Escapes. Not bad for someone who was discovered while working as a conductor on a bus.
