Even though the details surrounding Antonio’s passing were wrapped in a cloud of mystery, there’s no question that Sanders was to blame for his death. Antonett and her mother found some closure when he was taken to court and declared guilty of dangerous firearm possession and reckless homicide.
While they agreed with the judge’s decision, they found his sentence unfitting for the crime. After killing a beloved brother and son, Sanders spent two years in jail, starting in July 2017.
