It’s Hard To Forget These Biggest NFL Draft Busts
Rae Carruth – Carolina Panthers, 1997 Draft
While Rae Carruth wasn’t among the top prospects for teams during the 1997 draft, he still found himself picked 27th overall by the Carolina Panthers, who needed a wide receiver in the fold. Unfortunately, the gamble didn’t work out though the athlete possessed a wide array of skills.
In the three years he played for the Panthers, Carruth managed only four touchdowns and 62 catches, and this was with the legendary Kerry Collins as the coach. It seems the draft wasn’t beneficial for both player and team, so it’s no wonder it makes it to the list.
