We’ve all experienced leaving something important in a restaurant or the subway, and before we even go back to check, we’re resigned to the fact that our precious items are most probably gone already. Although this is a common occurrence in most places, there are still some countries where this isn’t the norm.

In Japan, it’s standard practice to ignore or transfer things left unattended to a safer place. The person who posted this photo had left their shopping bags in a public place, only to find out that someone had put their stuff safely under a tree so they could come back for them. How nice!
