Green Doesn’t Mean “Go” In Japan
One standard gets followed no matter where we go – red means stop, and green means go. As it turns out, it’s not the same thing in Japan because the designated color for “go” in their traffic light is actually blue.
So, people better remember this fact before visiting this beautiful country, especially if they plan to drive around during their stay. For those thinking the Japanese did this just to be unique, they are in for a surprise. There’s an explanation, and it has to do with the four primary colors in their ancient language. Also, that is not a blue but rather a very bluish shade of green.
