The Definition of Cringe
The Oxford Languages dictionary defines cringy (or cringey) as “causing feelings of embarrassment or awkwardness,” but we think this tweet by Meredith Lee explains the concept even more clearly.
It turns out the 25-year-old vet she met with for a date had the brain of a 10-year-old child. He threw a tantrum in public (which is always a shame) for being asked not to touch Meredith’s body. If that’s not the true definition of cringe-worthy, we don’t know what it is!
