According to The Runners Academy, frequent joggers should do strength training two to three times per week. Strength training helps joggers to be more prepared to endure long-distance runs without sustaining injuries. But which workouts work out better?

Polar.com states that some classic strength training exercises, such as planks and squats, can drastically improve a jogger’s performance. Planks strengthen the lower back (not to mention the core muscles), while squats strengthen the glutes, which are fundamental for speed and stamina.
