Picture a tiny mouse tip-toeing into your kitchen, but instead of being greeted by a classic mousetrap, it’s met with a device straight out of a Looney Tunes cartoon. It’s hard even to imagine such a wacky mousetrap, but someone went as far as patenting it.
The first mousetrap was patented in 1894 by William Hooker, and it was a simple design that we’re all familiar with today. But as time passed, people apparently got more creative with their pest control methods.
