Lionel Messi has a big heart and a bigger wallet. The football star donated more than $40,000 to UNICEF’s “A Sun for the Children” program, which aims to help kids in need. He also donated £26.4 million to the SJD Pediatric Cancer Center in Spain through his Leo Messi Foundation.
As if that wasn’t enough, Messi even showed up to lay the first stone at the Sant Joan de Déu hospital’s construction site. With a heart like his, it’s no wonder he’s a hero to both football fans and children in need.
