This woman’s husband shared this photo, saying that their wife ended up canceling her baby shower during the height of the pandemic. Knowing this, her colleagues took it upon themselves to throw her a surprise mini-one right in their break room.
The modern version of this celebration was conceived during the ’50s in the United States. The intent of the event was (and still is) to present the mother-to-be with much-needed newborn items. The two words literally mean showering the mom with presents and love.
