A Jellyfish Spa Or Cleaning Facility?
Going back to the topic of local cuisine, jellyfish is a delicacy in several Asian countries including Thailand. The gelatinous creatures present a challenge to harvest because of the sting they deliver from their tentacles. That doesn’t seem to bother Thai locals whose job it is to clean the jellyfish for sale.
They essentially swim with the creatures and set up colanders in a big tank to fish them. This photo shows a group busy fishing and cleaning the jellyfish. We can’t help but wonder how many times they get stung.
