It’s not easy navigating through life as a visually impaired person. Admirably, blind people adapt by learning how to perform daily tasks. Most learn to cross familiar streets with the help of tactile and visual clues located at crosswalks. Technology also helps with apps like Be My Eyes.
This sign warns drivers to be mindful of blind people crossing the road. However, the English translation doesn’t read right and it ends up raising questions. It tells motorists to be blind, but we want to believe that everyone understands the intended meaning.
