Demolishing the charming Victorian-era building was, of course, not an option for Cal and Claire. They were already emotionally connected to this century-old manor, and they felt that simply tearing it down would be like erasing a piece of history. In their blog, Claire wrote about it and explain that, despite all advice, she was confident that it was possible to succeed in restoring the manor.
She explained her reasoning. Unlike most house restorers across the world, she and Cal were not doing it simply for the money. And unlike most young adults, they both had free time and free will to spend on their huge project.
