Trust us; this is still connected to sports. We don’t know how many times we’ve watched local news reports about bad weather, from hurricanes to blizzards, and felt miserable for the poor newspeople standing outdoors, getting the brunt of it.
Mark Woodley had it worse because he’s supposed to be a sports reporter; the Waterloo, Iowa, station KWWL-TV exclusively persuaded him to report on the snow in a morning show instead of covering sports. Woodley even tweeted the video of himself in the middle of that god-awful blizzard.
