Anson Williams was born in California in 1949 and grew up loving the arts, especially singing and dancing. He made his acting debut in 1979 with a guest role in an episode of ‘Owen Marshall, Counselor at Law,’ but his big break came the following year when he landed a role as Potsie in the sitcom ‘Happy Days.’
‘Happy Days’ launched him into the stratosphere, and he immediately became a household name. Nevertheless, Anson liked directing more than acting and began a director’s career in the mid-1980s with ‘WonderWorks’ and ‘L.A. Law.’ He also had other interests like his ‘Big Al’ chain of diners which is no more, and the still running ‘Starmaker Products.’
