T.R Knight – Grey’s Anatomy
Backstage issues are often what causes actors to get the ax from hit shows. That’s the predicament that T.R. Knight faced the set of the medical drama Grey’s Anatomy. Knight played the role of Dr. George O’Malley, who was killed off during the 5th season of the show.
Word has it that disagreements Knight had with Shonda Rhimes, the show’s creator, about O’Malley’s character arc, are what pushed him to leave the show. Knight later revealed in interviews that he felt like his character was fading, and instead of waiting to get fired, he chose an early exit.
