Known for being the “Icebox of the Nation” due to its freezing winters, International Falls is a small city in the northeastern part of Minnesota, along the border with Canada. The city is home to a paper mill, which is one of the leading employers in the area. And temperature often stays below freezing for weeks at a time during the winter.
As of 2020, roughly 6,000 people call this place home. Its location on the Rainy River provides residents with a place for fishing and boating.
