Farrah Fawcett’s Breakthrough Role
In 1976, a pre-Charlie’s Angels Farrah Fawcett starred in a science-fiction movie called Logan’s Run. The movie dwelled on the idea of a utopian society in which individuals were not allowed to live past the age of 30.
The ’70s were marked by the uprising of science-fiction themes in the mainstream culture, which became particularly apparent after the release of the first Star Wars movie. Unlike her on-screen character, Fawcett was allowed to live happily and successfully until the age of 62. She died from cancer in 2009.
