Kenny Omega (Tyson Smith) – Active 2000 Until Now
Active since 2000, Tyson Smith debuted in the NJPW as Kenny Omega, his video game-inspired wrestling persona. Videogames and Japan go well together, and Omega’s success in the land of the rising sun was notable. He won almost every title there was to win at the Japanese promotion and soon became a fan favorite.
Besides his charisma, the young wrestler (still 36-years-old) was particularly famous for his ability to participate in historical and highly-entertaining matches; he is considered a technical and prodigal wrestler. In 2019, Omega left Japan to become AEW’s executive vice-president.
