These Unforgettable Golden Age Stars Are Living The Best Life In Retirement
Engelbert Humperdinck – Age 86, Release Me
Arnold George Dorsey is known professionally as Engelbert Humperdinck, an unusual name for a musical genius. He found fame in the early ’60s when his ballads “Release Me” and “The Last Waltz” topped the UK Singles Chart in 1967.
And he was so well known that he acquired a sizeable following of die-hard fans who called themselves the ‘Humperdinckers.’ Humperdinck entered the North American market during the ’70s with songs like “After the Lovin'” and “This Moment in Time.” And after more than five decades as a performer, he’s still active. He performed a cover of 1919’s classic “I’m Forever Blowing Bubbles” for the 2022 action comedy “Bullet Train.”
