George Takei – 84, Star Trek
The ‘Star Trek’ television series star, George Takei, is beloved by science fiction fans all around the globe. Born in Los Angeles, California, in 1937, George began his acting career in 1965. Following his success as an actor, he co-wrote a science fiction novel titled ‘Mirror Friend, Mirror Foe’ with Robert Asprin in 1979.
In 1994, George published his autobiography, ‘To the Stars,’ revealing the hardships he faced throughout his life to his fans. Although Takei followed this with a continuation of his acting career, appearing in shows such as ‘Heroes,’ he later resigned to spend his time writing and contributing to social activism.
