Robert Hardy had a long, successful, and memorable career in theatre, television, and film. He started off as a classical actor and became a prominent name when he portrayed the character of Siegfried Farnon in the BBC’s ‘All Creatures Great and Small.’ In the Harry Potter films, the actor played Cornelius Fudge, the Minister of Magic.
Aside from his many acting accomplishments, Robert also had a deep interest in the longbow, and he authored two books regarding the subject, namely, ‘Longbow: A Social and Military History’ and ‘The Great Warbow: From Hastings to the Mary Rose.’ On August 3, 2017, Robert peacefully passed away at the age of 91.
