Dancing On The Table
While we may think of dancing on tables as a joke, it was a frequently occurring activity at Studio 54 back in the 1970′s. In fact, it even spawned a line of popular videos in the 1990′s and early 2000′s called “table dances.” While they were originally meant to be sexual or even provocative, there are many different stories as to how they came to be.
We see people doing this at Studio 54 in the 1970′s. This moved on to a more provocative and sexual way of dancing on tables. This movement started with disco and soon found its way into the mainstream after Studio 54 was shut down.
