Avid global travelers understand the difference in time zones and locations well, so we don’t really understand the complaint. If you book flights with limited layovers, you will reach “home” on time and safely, depending on how far it is from your departure location.
This person traveling to England from Jamaica should not have complained if they understood that vacations in tropical areas while living nearby mean fewer travel hours. Since this was not the case, the longer trip became unavoidable.
