Bomb Pranks Are Not Funny
It’s not rocket science to figure that bomb threats, jokes, and pranks are a big no-no in airports. This is why TSA agents are very particular with replicas because even when they are not functional, they can still harbor panic. The hand-written clock makes this supposed IED look dubious, but the officers weren’t taking chances.
Discovering this fake bomb O’Hare Airport in Chicago in 2014 meant closing operations for 20 minutes. Again, bringing replicas even as a joke is never a great idea; we wonder if the owner got arrested.
