Construction never stops in “the city that never sleeps.” According to TheRealDeal.com, construction employment in NYC in 2022 is pegged at 139K. That’s less than in 2019, but the future looks bright, as there’s a whopping $270 billion to be spent on construction in the Big Apple until 2024, according to a Building Congress estimate.
Construction, however, isn’t just about quantity but also quality. With so many billions to invest, we sure hope Yorkers will manage to avoid their past mistakes—such as installing door knobs in places they don’t belong.
